Caroline and Brian were married on July 27, 2019 in beautiful Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Their tented wedding was held on the grounds of Brewster Academy, steps away from the beautiful waterfront on Lake Winnipesaukee. Wedding planner Events by Sorrell made this picture perfect day go smoothly and look flawless.
When I walked in, Caroline was just wrapping up the last of her hair styling, and I was in awe of what a stunning bride she was. Absolutely everything was on point. And to top it all off, she had the most jaw-dropping Essense of Australia gown…. the beads, the train, the glitz, oh my. It also ranks as probably the heaviest wedding gown I have ever lifted. I have no idea how this tiny girl wore it all day long.
For the videographer, Caroline took a few minutes to read a long letter from Brian (out loud!) Everyone gathered around her to listen, and there was not a dry eye in the entire house. It was a very touching and sweet moment.
Meanwhile, the men were getting ready in a cute AirB&B on Main St. in Wolfeboro. It was filled with natural light and neutral colors which made the photos beautiful. Brian looked so handsome in his getting ready photos.
Just like Caroline did, Brian took a moment to read the letter from his bride for the videographer. Emotional moment!
The first look was scheduled to take place as soon as we all arrived at Brewster Academy. Unfortunately a sudden rain storm popped up at that exact time, so we all had to wait it out for a bit. Thankfully once it passed, the sun came out for the rest of the day, but it was still very humid.
Once the rain stopped, the wedding coordinators tried to brush and mop the puddles off the dock (with paper towels!) as best they could so that Caroline’s dress wouldn’t get wet. I’m not sure how well it worked, but Caroline was so excited to finally get out of the bus and go see her soon to be husband.
Then, we were able to roll through all the bridal party photos. It was a very pretty location, and docks always work well for scenery as well as good light.
The wedding ceremony took place at the First Congregational Church of Wolfeboro, just around the corner from Brewster Academy. On a hot and muggy late July afternoon, we were all thankful for the restful time in the air conditioning!
Immediately after the ceremony, Caroline and Brian went outside and rang the huge bell out front. Married!!
I have to admit it has been a long, long time since I photographed a church ceremony. The air conditioning was a treat!
Tented Outdoor Reception
The big, beautiful sailcloth tent by Special Events of New England was set up on the lower playing field at Brewster Academy, just steps away from the Pinckney Boathouse and the docks. All the tables were decked out in loads of pink, from the gorgeous centerpieces to the tablecloths.
The happy couple made a beautiful entrance to the start of the reception, and went right into an impressive choreographed first dance!
Dinner was served during the speeches, of which there were many!
The last shot of the night was of this pretty sunset over the tent and the lake. I got eaten alive taking this photo, but it was absolutely worth it.
Caroline and Brian, thank you so much for having us document your special day! It was truly one to remember. Congratulations!
