My beautiful friend Emily and I have been friends since middle school, making her one of my very longest good friends. When I heard she was dating Dale, I was pleased for her, and when I heard she was getting married, I was thrilled, and when she asked me to be her wedding photographer, I was over the moon at such a beautiful opportunity to give my longtime friend some of the most important photographs of her life. Well, a little terrified, actually, because I really wanted to give her the very best work I was capable of. As you can see, she made a stunning bride, and I loved being a part of her big day.
Beautiful bride, three ways….
The ceremony was brief, joyous, and full of smiles. I was so focused on shooting that I didn’t have time to watch the events as they unfolded, but later, once I saw them on my computer screen, I got a little teary eyed at seeing the emotion of the moment. Emily was radiant.
After the ceremony we took a quick sojourn to the top of the mountain at Emily’s parents’ house for this amazing backdrop for wedding photos. It was absolutely stunning, and I’m so happy that the weather worked out enough for us to do this. Those thick clouds rolling around were the impending Hurricane Sandy, and less than two days later this whole area received quite a lot of snow. Great timing, Emily!!!
Emily and Dale, your wedding day was a beautiful experience and I can’ t thank you enough for allowing me the pleasure of being there with you. It’s such a joy to see my longtime friend so happy and content. 🙂
