Tony won’t watch So You Think You Can Dance with Melissa, and Melissa won’t watch scary movies with Tony–but beyond that, they are as complementary as they come. They first met as teachers at the same school-she was a dance teacher and he was a kindergarten teacher-and when they started dating (by all accounts from the toasts at their wedding), everyone knew that they were perfect together, being the kind of people that make everyone around them feel awesome and special. An adventurous couple, they relocated to South Carolina just because they wanted to try something new, and they easily fit in, with great success. They planned their New Hampshire wedding from far away, relying on friends and family back at home to help out.
Here are a few of my favorite images from Tony and Melissa’s wedding.
A little later, this happened….
Melissa and Tony danced to Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic” for their first dance, because it was the first song they danced to when they first started dating, by the Jim Devlin Band, the very same band that now played live at their wedding. Way to come full circle!
Fantastic appetizers, passed h’orderves, and buffet dinner by Curt’s Caterers.
The sunset that night was one of the most amazing I have ever seen, with brilliant pinks and oranges that seemed to last forever. The Margate Resort looked so beautiful, with the ceremony tent overlooking the water, and the reception tent providing breathtaking views over Lake Winnipesaukee.
Melissa and Tony, thank you for being such a dream to work with. Your warmth and joy for your family and friends was a delight to capture. I know you will continue to thrive in the Lowcountry lifestyle!
