Kate and Mike (two of possibly the nicest, most welcoming clients I have ever had) were married at her childhood home in Henniker, NH……. it was such a special, meaningful place to have their wedding, and it showed in every detail they incorporated. Built by her grandfather, the house and property have 3 barns scattered around, and her grandmother lives just down the hill. Her parents’ house on the hilltop was a scene filled with nostalgia and sentimentality, recollecting all the trees that were cut down or planted over the decades to make the property what it is today. Over 100 guests filled the front lawn of the home for the ceremony, just outside the front door where she grew up. It was a day filled with infusing old memories with happy new ones, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Mike himself made this incredible arbor for their wedding ceremony…. how romantic is that? And wait until you see the bar he made for the reception.
Kate was stunning…..
Down the sloped driveway, a huge sailcloth tent glowed in the evening as their friends and family celebrated their new marriage and danced the night away. I loved the gigantic chalkboards, wildflower bouquets, and the gorgeous handmade bar that Mike made. He definitely has a talent for woodworking!
These seedlings were the wedding favors for each guest–locally grown and sourced directly from the New Hampshire State Nursery.
Fantastic catering and service by Appleseed Restaurant:
Kate’s uncle brought out his 1965 GTO for some photo ops. Such a gorgeous car!
