Carolyn and Ben were married on May 27, 2016 at the beautiful Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA. I have to admit, I was pretty nervous about photographing Carolyn’s wedding. After all, her mother Candy has been a dear friend of mine for about 15 years now, and knowing her complete dedication to hosting her daughter’s dream wedding, definitely pushed me to do the very best I could. Having watched Carolyn grow from a young girl into the confident and successful woman she is, put a lot of things into perspective for me that day. Time really does fly.
getting ready
Hair and makeup had been done to perfection by Blush Beauty, and the girls all looked amazing. Arriving at Harrington Farm, the bride and bridesmaids were all tucked away into the bridal suite to get pampered with snacks and champagne as they got dressed. The air conditioner in the window hummed along at top speed trying to cool the upstairs room on such a hot late May day.
the ceremony
The ceremony site at Harrington Farm is nestled in a low corner of the property on a bluestone patio, surrounded by manicured landscaping. One standout feature of this location is the wide, sweeping lawn that the bridal party travels over, followed by the bride’s grand approach.
the reception
Walking into The Barn was like entering a fairy tale. Every table sparkled with gorgeous floral centerpieces by Apotheca, gold beaded glass charger plates topped with adorable packages of pink macarons tied up with gold tags, pink cloth napkins and gold chiavari chairs, and stemware galore. It was a setting for a grand celebration!
The pink macarons were dusted with gold sugar, and tied up with an adorable gold custom thank you tag.
