Wedding at the Seacoast Science Center
Mia and Steve were married on September 13, 2020, three months later than they originally planned, which was not bad considering most weddings slated for 2020 were postponed up to a year or more. Their beautiful wedding was centered around postcard-perfect Portsmouth, with the Seacoast Science Center as their venue and other Portsmouth locations sprinkled in for photogenic goodness.
Getting Ready at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside
First Look on the Memorial Bridge
Mia and Steve had chosen a spot on the Memorial Bridge beforehand for their first look, and it was epic. Normally I would never recommend leaving for a separate location just for the first look, but I would make an exception in this case. It actually worked out beautifully. That view!! And Mia was perfectly downwind, which set her amazing dress and hair on the breeze. Total glamour.
Steve was nervous waiting for Mia to arrive. It was a very private moment, with only us two photographers there.
Photo Stop at Prescott Park
Seacoast Trolley took the bride, groom, and the immediate family to the venue, and along the way we stopped at Prescott Park for some family and couple photos. The trial gardens were in glorious bloom, and we found loads of color for the photos.
Seacoast Science Center Ceremony & Reception
Mia’s smile was just non stop that whole day. I loved how excited she was. I know she felt gorgeous in that amazing Hailey Paige dress.
Steve and Mia did not have any bridal party, which is a trend I’m seeing more and more of. It kept things so simple and streamlined, and I’m a big fan. Many of their friends were there as guests, and they had tons of time to visit with them and enjoy having all their favorite people with them.
After the ceremony we set out to take some photos around the beach. Honestly, every location at Odiorne Point is stunning, so we just started walking and shooting and everything came together.
The rest of the night was spent dancing and eating and having the time of their lives. It was such a joy to see Mia and Steve enjoying every minute of their big day.
A spectacular colorful comfort food spread was provided by Big Kahuna’s Catering, and everything was as delicious as it was beautifully presented.
JAM Event DJs did a wonderful job of making the uplighting look festive and fun. They even brought out lots of glow in the dark props for the dancers later in the night.
I can’t close out this blog post without the desserts! This beautiful spread of sweets came out later in the evening.
Thank you, Mia and Steve, for having us document your gorgeous Seacoast wedding. I know that extra wait was totally worth it!
