Michelle and Adam were a dream to work with, and I am so honored to have been a part of their August 30th wedding at Michelle’s parents’ home in Alstead, NH. Although they now live in Virginia (in the same city as my brother-in-law), Michelle is from New Hampshire, and Adam is from North Carolina and a fellow UNC graduate. I’ve never had clients with such uncanny parallels so it was quite a treat for me. Their wedding was planned and organized with precision, and the final outcome was completely stunning–they nailed the sweet spot between elegance and country rustic. I’m so excited to share photos from their event. I had to break it down into two parts because the eye candy is extensive. Enjoy!
Getting ready at Halladay’s Harvest Barn Inn in Bellows Falls, Vermont
A tender moment with Michelle reading a sweet card from Adam before she got into her gown. Love her robe? It was custom made for her (as well as all the bridesmaids gifts) by a seamstress in Indonesia where Michelle spent 4 months during the engagement for work.
This series of photos is among my favorites….. the bold color and feminine style of her shoes, the way her dress collapsed into piles and piles of dreamy organza, her jewelry, and amazing classic style. She was gorgeous. Simply elegant.
This bridal party was superlative in every way….. not only the largest group I have ever had (10 in total) but also the most organized, most punctual, and most helpful. The level of coordination was astonishing.
The Guys Getting Ready at The Lane Hotel in Keene, NH
Meanwhile, my amazing second shooter Christine Tilley had everything under control with the guys over at the Lane Hotel in Keene, NH. Much like Michelle’s bridesmaids, the guys were equally organized and prepared… and completely dressed ahead of time.
Adam’s cufflinks were custom made with maps to reflect two important worldwide locations: the place in Jordan where he and Michelle met on an archaeological excavation, and Alstead, NH, where they were married.
Bridal Photos at the Home of a Family Friend in Alstead, NH
Then we traveled with the girls to a friend’s home with beautiful gardens where we did some group photos and bridal portraits. There could not have been a prettier location for a beautiful bride.
Stay tuned for Part 2, where I share more amazing details, and Michelle’s family’s farm transformed into an amazing wedding venue for a day, with decorations and planning to rival any professional wedding planner. I’m absolutely certain Michelle and Adam can dominate anything they put their mind to, and possibly a missed career in wedding planning is one of them? 🙂
