Inn on Newfound Lake Wedding | Melissa & Max
Melissa and Max
Melissa and Max are one of the sweetest couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Melissa grew up in New Hampshire, while Max is from Ohio, and together they planned their wedding long-distance from their current home in Seattle…. phew! It was very much a destination wedding for most of the folks there, and what a perfectly charming New Hampshire weekend it was. The Inn on Newfound Lake is absolutely gorgeous, and it made a perfect setting for an early June wedding.
Melissa had this to say about her wedding photography experience:
“I couldn’t be happier with our choice for Erika and Christine as our photographers. Erika is so helpful and seems to know exactly what her clients are looking for from our first meeting together to our conversations over email (she was incredibly helpful working with us as we were long distance planning from Seattle). As for our wedding day, Erika and Christine were great for making us feel comfortable and taking such natural photos. We had so much fun working with her! I absolutely loved the sneak peeks as she was preparing our photos and every picture was as gorgeous as the last. I was in awe of how she was able to capture such special moments! When we got the photos I just about cried. They were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and even the way they are organized makes it so easy to go through and view. Everyone has been loving the photos! I am in love with Erika’s work and you would be lucky to have Erika as your photographer. We are so thankful!”
Melissa’s blush lace Maggie Sottero gown was just stunning. She looked amazing.
Even though Melissa and Max didn’t do a first look, she was still dressed and ready well in advance of the ceremony so that we had time to do her bridal portraits and family photos before hand. It’s so nice when we have a relaxed way to ease into the day.

The barn at the Inn on Newfound Lake was transformed into a warm and rustic space for dinner and dancing. I loved the eclectic centerpieces by Lotus Floral Design, and the naked cake by Jacques Pastries.
Melissa’s family was truly one of the most welcoming I have ever encountered as a wedding photographer. When Christine and I said goodbye to Melissa at the end of the night, immediately her sister and maid of honor came right over to also say goodbye, followed by her mother and father, all expressing gratitude and appreciation for our efforts that day. It was so pleasantly surprising and wonderful because that never happens. It is a testimony to Melissa and her family and what hospitable people they are. Truly clients to remember for always! We remember such kindness very clearly, and feel so blessed when it happens.
