Amanda and Walter were married at the beautiful Flag Hill Winery in Lee, NH on July 15, 2017. It was such a gorgeous summery day, and in typical Flag Hill fashion, everything was planned to perfection making my 6 hours of coverage the perfect amount of time to capture all the important events.
While Amanda and the girls were at the salon, she left her dress and accessories at the getting ready room at Flag Hill so that when I arrived I could photograph all her details before she arrived. It was a brilliant plan! I always love an efficient use of time that still allows me to get the beautiful detail photos without being in a rush.
Once the girls arrived and were into their dresses, we had plenty of time for the bridal portraits and bridesmaids photos. Amanda and Walter did not do a first look, but planning their portraits in this way meant we were able to get many important shots done prior to the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the guys had arrived on site so we were able to steal them away for a few shots as well.
I think the ceremony site at Flag Hill is one of the prettiest that I have seen at a wedding venue. Mother Nature placed the two large maple trees in the perfect location so that the site is always shaded in the afternoon, making such pretty light for photographs. The pretty arbor and the wine barrels can be dressed up or down for any couple’s tastes.
Following the ceremony, it was time for family photos and then we had fun with the bridal party and the bride and groom! Amanda and Walter were so great to work with by keeping everything lighthearted. Walter kept us all laughing by never taking anything too seriously. I just love this photo of him clicking his heels in the air.
Flag Hill is even more beautiful in the evening when the sun gets low! Nothing beats the golden light of a warm summer evening over the vineyard.
The reception went beautifully and was filled with so many fun moments. Walt’s brother delivered what has gone down in my mind as one of the best Best Men toasts I have ever heard, either before or since then. Luckily AnyaDrew Wedding Films was there to capture the whole speech! The gorgeous cake and cupcakes were made by Three Sisters Cake Shop.
