Jordan and Thomas were married on October 13, 2018 at Tumbledown Farms in Brookfield, NH in a Disney-inspired wedding full of love, fall color, and rustic goodness. This sweet country wedding was like something out of a fairy tale! Autumn splendor combined with nods to Beauty and the Beast and Snow White made a bold and colorful theme.
Getting Ready
Jordan kept everything simple by getting ready on-site in the Farm’s upstairs bridal room. Being super detail-oriented herself, she had thought of everything that would make for beautiful photos including plenty of things to style her invitation suite and rings with. Their wedding was a mashup between Snow White (her favorite) and Beauty and the Beast (his favorite), and Jordan had plenty of apples on hand for her part, including apple red nail polish.
Meanwhile, the guys had a little extra time since they were already dressed so they had plenty of photos hanging around outside while the girls were getting ready and finishing up hair and makeup.
Thomas is a hardcore Beauty and The Beast fan–check out that tattoo!
Instead of a first look, Thomas and Jordan opted for a “first touch” where they could still calm their nerves with a simple hand touch rather than actually seeing each other. They were absolutely adorable.
Ceremony
During the ceremony that day, I witnessed one of the most miraculous and symbolic weather events I’ve ever seen at a wedding. The clouds were very ominous while the guests were being shuttled to the back pasture, and in fact it even started raining on all of us while we waited. You can see the rain drops coming down on Thomas as he waited in a state of nervousness and anticipation for Jordan to arrive.
When Thomas turned around as Jordan started coming down the aisle, it was one of the best groom reactions I have ever had. Loved it!
Impressively, the rain stopped just as Jordan came off the shuttle and made her way down the aisle with her dad.
And finally, as the ceremony neared its conclusion, the sun actually came out, and they said their “I dos” and kissed in a dazzle of sunlight that was absolutely incredible. The made their way back down the aisle in actual sunbeams. It was incredibly special, and I think, symbolic, for these two.
After the ceremony, we had a pretty short amount of time to do an astonishing number of family, bridal party, and couple photos. Jordan and Thomas had family visiting from all over the country, and they rarely were together as a group, so it was important that we got all those group photos.
Reception
Jordan was so busy for months before the wedding, making every kind of decoration imaginable. There were signs, displays, and things to sign. Every inch of Tumbledown Farm was beautifully decorated in personalized DIY treasures. Jordan even did homemade wedding favors including caramel apples, S’mores kits, caramel popcorn and some sweet doggie treats from their Dog of Honor, Zeke.
If you look closely you will see big red roses from Beauty and the Beast, as well we red apples from Snow White scattered throughout their decor theme. The golden sunflowers were a seasonal nod to Belle’s yellow dress.
They had the cutest flower girl, dressed in a miniature sized version of the bridesmaid dresses and boots.
The rest of the evening was filled with so many dances, toasts, music, cake cutting, and festivities that it all went by in a blur. All of their friends and family were so genuinely happy to be a part of this special day, that the happiness was contagious.
The night ended with a gorgeous sparkler send-off, and Jordan and Thomas made their getaway in their 1968 Chevelle. What an exit! The roar of the engine could be heard all the way up and down highway 109!
Congratulations, Jordan and Thomas! It was an incredible honor to be able to document this incredibly special day for you.
