I’m still beaming over meeting Alex and Matt this past weekend for their engagement photos. They were the sweetest couple ever–friendly, up for anything, and most of all, ready to get their smooch on in front of a total stranger. Which is awesome. They came ready with an adorable picnic basket filled with flowers, munchies and chocolate covered pretzels. I quickly learned that Alex loves chocolate, so of course I can immediately relate. We met up in the evening and enjoyed the waning sunlight as we walked around and found great light and cool places to pause and make some photos. Alex and Matt are the sweetest couple and I loved hearing about all their wedding plans as they have developed so far.
Enjoy some of my favorite images from their engagement session. I love that they didn’t just pose for photos; they actually interacted with each other and allowed me to photograph them as if I wasn’t even there. Very little direction was given to them. I’m pretty sure they just knew what they wanted and went for it. 😉 This is a portrait session that I am truly proud of.
I’ve been following Gone Baking (you know, the cupcake van?!) on Facebook for awhile now, always hoping to have my daily schedule somehow align with her current location so I could fly over and try some of the cupcakes I’ve been hearing so much about. Today was my lucky day! She was parked near the Manchester Farmer’s Market in the Firefly parking lot which was so easy for me to pop over and snag some.
Here are a few snapshots I whipped off before they got killed after supper tonight. My absolute favorite was the Gone Coconuts!
Updated! I couldn’t resist and added a few more cupcakes from a 2nd trip a couple of weeks later.
Carrie and Jay were one of my very first wedding couples, and I’m so glad to wish them a very happy 2nd wedding anniversary. It was two years ago today in 2010 that we partied on the M/V Mt. Washington on that hot July day. Here’s to many more!!
