I'm very happy to announce a new collaboration between me and the Black Forest Cafe! I was contacted through Facebook to commission some photos of their delicious bakery treats for their website. How can I be any luckier?? Food photography is the absolute most fun for me, and shooting beautiful food and then eating the amazing yumminess is totally my idea of a great time.
First item to photograph–their amazing Lemon Drop Cake, one of their new spring items.
Katie and Emma celebrated their 9th and 5th birthdays at a dual party, and invited 26 friends to an awesome pool party at the Concord Holiday Inn. (Who knew? Yes, the Holiday Inn will let you rent their pool for a party!) I had so much fun with these kids, and they all loved having their picture taken.
Emma’s cupcake tower had blingy jewelry on it, and Katie’s had iCarly disks and texting lingo…. SO CUTE!!! I thought these towers were such a great way to display the cupcakes. And you know I am All. About. The. Cake.
I’ve been shooting Karen’s family for several years now, and it’s been such a pleasure to see her girls grow up. I remember visiting Emma in the hospital when she was born! Time flies. They have such a love of life, and they really know how to embrace the chaos. I could take a lesson or two from that.
